"...Dan has a great store of knowledge... His easy demeanor and good humor lend to his good communication skills. He is adaptable in dealing with all sorts of people and dogs. Dan is always willing to get out there and train which he demonstrated on some extremely cold December Saturday mornings. He has always gone out of his way to help us prepare for any upcoming shows... In the two years that we have known Dan, we have worked with him in person, on the phone and via the internet. Since our original training course we have trained two other dogs using skills Dan taught us in that original course. We are currently training our Service dog with his ongoing assistance. We would highly recommend training with Dan if you are interested in consistent results along with a trainer that shows patience with dogs and people!"

"Having trained for many years using various methods, I came across a dog who was lacking in confidence and who didn't respond well to my previous methods of training. She was unsure, unhappy, and unwilling to work (did not want to make a mistake). After 13 weeks of training with Dan in person and via phone, using Koehler training methods, Scarlett is a different dog, full of confidence and comfortable in any situation. She now has two legs toward her CD. One was earned at the American Pointer Club National Specialty where she placed 2nd in the Novice B class. She is well on her way and we will begin open training soon. Thanks Dan, for all your help, patience, and encouragement. And for all those detailed conversations and repeat explanations.... My glass is empty. I swear."
